ABOUT VEBA – SINCE 1999

For over 25 years, the connecting force behind a strong Amersfoort city centre.

VEBA represents the shared interests of property owners in Amersfoort’s main shopping area. We work towards a city centre that is attractive, accessible and future-proof, for everyone who lives, works and does business in Amersfoort.

OUR STORY

Born of a shared commitment to the city centre.

VEBA was founded in 1999, when a group of property owners in Amersfoort’s city centre realised that their interests would carry far more weight together than if each owner acted alone. What began as an informal initiative grew into the association representing property owners in the main shopping area.

More than 25 years on, VEBA is a regular partner in dialogue with the Municipality of Amersfoort and an active member of the City Centre Coalition. We help shape discussions on quality, accessibility and sustainability, right in the heart of the city, at consultations and meetings.

Our story is the story of the city centre itself: of historic buildings taking on new uses, of owners investing in quality, and of a city that only grows stronger when we work together.

“Thanks to VEBA’s active and tenacious approach,
I feel heard and well represented.”

OUR THREE PILLARS

Quality, accessibility and sustainability

These three pillars are the foundation of everything VEBA does – from talks with the municipality to tangible projects in the city centre.

  • Quality

An attractive city centre starts with quality. VEBA champions an excellent place to live, work and shop, shaped by historic heritage, carefully maintained property and vibrant public spaces.

  • Accessibility

An easy-to-reach city centre is essential for businesses, visitors and property owners alike. VEBA actively helps shape plans for mobility, parking and logistics.

  • Sustainability

A future-proof city centre calls for sustainable choices. VEBA encourages greener property, heritage conservation and long-term investment.

WHO VEBA IS FOR

One association, three ways to stand stronger together.

VEBA connects property owners with the municipality, policymakers and partner organisations. Whoever we speak to, we start from the same core value: building a stronger city centre together.

  • For property owners

Together we are building a strong association that makes a visible impact on the city centre, keeping it attractive and future-proof.

  • Municipality and policymakers

VEBA is a professional partner in dialogue that represents the shared interests of property owners and actively helps shape the development of the city centre.

  • Partner organisations

In the City Centre Coalition, we work closely with businesses, the cultural sector, the municipality and residents.

VEBA’S PARTNERS

VEBA works hand in hand with the municipality, business associations and other city partners for a strong city centre.

VEBA helps property owners
stand stronger together.

By sharing knowledge, representing shared interests and working with the municipality and partners, VEBA gives property owners a greater say in how the city centre develops.

“The open atmosphere and sense of commitment
make it a great club to be part of.”

Witte and Wouter van der Kam
